Photographer Resources

Tripods improve shots by getting rid of camera shakes whilst allowing photographers to zoom in on different settings without losing the target.

Macro Mode

Select the Macro Shooting Mode on your digital camera. Macro mode will tell your camera to engage a large aperture because the background doesn’t need to be in shot.

Focus

Manual focusing is better than automatic focusing. Manual focus gives you the photographer control of the shoot not the camera.

Light

Sometimes flash is important because it provides crucial artificial light, however it can flood a shot with white colour. It’s usually sensible to choose a good bright day to shoot.

Check

Check the shot you’ve taken using your LCD screen before you pack up.

Special Macro Lens Attachments

If you have one use it.

Timers

Its often better to use the timer on the shortest countdown to avoid missing the best shoot time.

Stock Websites

Just because you don’t like your photographs of the day doesn’t mean everyone else wont. Try saving your photographs to third party websites.
